This position is a sales professional who specializes in understanding all the technical aspects of a technical product and explaining them to potential consumers. Their duties include explaining product features to customers during live demonstrations and negotiating contract terms.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.
- Establishes new accounts and services accounts by identifying potential customers and planning and organizing sales call schedule.
- Gains customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operations improvements.
- Submits orders by conferring with technical support staff and costing engineering changes.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Must be hardworking, honest, and responsible
- Computer literate
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
